• You have at least 10 years experience in comparable roles and are recognized in the field on your knowledge of designing the Modern Workplace,
• This specifically includes components like Windows10, Cloud PC (W365), Windows Virtual Desktop (AVD), MEM Intune,
• You have experience in designing security and network for Modern Workplace,
• You have a strong understanding of M365 services and Modern Workplace and have the certifications to prove it and you frequently visit conferences in order to develop further,
• You have bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Experience in highly regulated environments (e.g financial institutions)
• Knowledge of and experience with IT architecture methodologies and processes (e.g. TOGAF) and service management methods and processes (ITIL)

Who are we?

We are Global Workplace Services at ING and we deliver workplace services for 60,000 colleagues worldwide. We ensure that our colleagues can work simple and safely with any device, wherever they are at home, in the office or in another country. Specifically, we provide laptops, (virtual) desktops, mobile and fixed telephony, video conferencing, software (e.g. Outlook, SharePoint, Windows and Office). We also provide the infrastructure and 3rd line support for these services.

WPS has standardized on SaaS (cloud) services; especially for Cloud Managed Workplaces and Collaboration Services.

What will you do?

• You will be responsible for the domain architecture of the workplace architecture,
• You play a key role in the cooperation between the various roles on tribe and squad level and comes in for complex, squad overarching solutions,
• You understand the principles of outsourcing on operational, tactical and strategic level with an E2E accountability of the WPS Services delivered across multiple external and internal parties,
•  Responsibility for designing the service and making sure our customers stay satisfied with the service and meet ING’s requirements. This includes gathering and describing ING (service) requirements, refining epics and features, active internal stakeholder management, and alignment with and management of the external party regarding the contractual obligations for the sourced services and the way of working of ING,
• You define technology standards and future state for Workplace products,
• Creation and maintenance of reference architectures/roadmaps: design directives, standards, solution building blocks,
• Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects and other stakeholders to develop the service strategy and roadmap,
• Liaise with enterprise architecture to assure overall fit & integration; act as solution architect for Workplace services within projects and programs,
• Analyse, design, review and/or approve technical solutions – assurance of compliance with directives, standards and guidelines including Risk and threat analysis of solutions,
• Supervise implementations of solutions - in accordance with design,
• Maintenance of design documents within domain – assure completeness and integrity,
• Creation and maintenance of reference architectures & building blocks & standards relating to Workplace for VDI (Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop), Microsoft endpoint infrastructure (Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager), Windows operating systems and other workplace products,
• Research new Workplace innovations, including delivering proof of concepts,
• Lead technical discussions with clients that drive decisions and implementation.
